Ingrowing Toenail Treatment
Ingrowing toenails can be painful, inflamed and, if left untreated, may become infected. They occur when the edge of the nail grows into the surrounding skin, making everyday activities such as walking or wearing shoes uncomfortable.

During your appointment, your podiatrist will assess the affected toe and recommend the most appropriate treatment. Many ingrowing toenails can be successfully managed with careful nail treatment, relieving discomfort while helping to prevent the problem from returning. You'll also receive advice on nail care, footwear and reducing the risk of recurrence.

For persistent or recurring ingrowing toenails, nail surgery may be recommended. This minor procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, allowing either part or all of the affected nail to be removed comfortably. A specialised solution is then applied to the nail bed, It involves permanently removing part of or all of the nail to relieve the problem. A pre-op assessment is essential and you will be unable to drive immediately after the procedure. Unlimited post-operative care and
dressings is included in the procedure price, and we review your healing regularly and don’t discharge you until the toe is fully healed.

We'll explain every stage of treatment, provide clear aftercare instructions and support you throughout your recovery, helping you return to comfortable, pain-free walking with confidence.
