Toenail Reconstruction

Damaged, thickened or fungal toenails can often affect confidence, making people reluctant to wear open-toed shoes or go barefoot.

 

Toenail reconstruction is a cosmetic treatment designed to restore the natural appearance of the nail while protecting the underlying nail bed.

We use the Wilde-Pedique® Plus system, a specialist elastic UV gel developed specifically for toenails. The reconstructed nail is shaped to look natural, moves comfortably with the toe and can even be painted with regular nail polish.

 

Results typically last for up to six weeks before maintenance is required.

Wilde-Pedique® Plus also contains anti-fungal properties, making it suitable for many patients with fungal nail conditions.

 

During your appointment, your podiatrist will assess your nail, discuss whether reconstruction is appropriate and provide advice on maintaining healthy nails between treatments.
